Walking under dim streetlights, Glancing at strangers — or so I thought. Rejoicing in the weight of their egos, A thank you never welcomed, A smile never returned. Evolution, they say, Yet no better than snakes. Humanity has fallen — Or so I thought. Walking through white walls, Machines echo louder Than the weeping of the distressed. Yet still — a smile so wide, A thank you spoken first. Smiling through heaven and hell, It makes me wonder: A soul so human. Humanity is not extinct after all.
