It's so crazy how as kids we wanted to grow up quickly, How now as grown ups we'd give anything to bring back our childhood. I still remember us cousins in the summer holidays being goofy, In the monsoons we'd play in the rain, make boats and race them till they'd drown. I still remember us going so wild that often times one of us would end up in tears, How our parents would ask us to say sorry and we'd do so grudgingly. I still remember us walking to the fair, our shadows dancing in the streetlights, How dragon rides and toy trains were are definition of exhilaration. I still remember us tearing up pages and pages from notebooks to make chits, How our games seemed unending then and our hearts overloaded with joy. Countless memories, countless laughs, Infinite tiny stories that our children will one day hear... We'd tell them all, but we'd tell them this especially, Childhood literally flies away, we are grown ups in a jiffy... So you live it with all your heart, have as much fun as you want, Laugh as hard as you like, chase butterflies, dance in the rain, play till the end of the day. Cause once these days are gone, you will yearn, yearn for them to be yours again but you won't get them back.
