I wander through days with empty hands, A child lost in distant lands. Dreams once bright, now dimmed and cold, I feel so small, so weak, so bold. They call me useless, they call me weak, Words that sting, words that speak. A shadow in the light of day, Unseen, unheard, pushed away. I search for meaning, but none I find, A fractured soul, a restless mind. I try to please, I try to show, But in their eyes, I never grow. Yet deep inside, there’s a spark, A faint glow in the cold, dark. For though they say I’m lost, I’ll see, That one day, I will set me free. I’m not useless, though it seems, I am more than just broken dreams. A child, a heart, a soul that’s true, I’ll find my way, I’ll start anew. -ovi-.
