When you cry like a river, what are you trying to hold on to? Is it the wet pillow, or the lingering scent of someone's embrace? Is it the rain that keeps you company, or the music that makes your heart ache? When you are so happy you could die, which part of you feels it most? Is it your mouth stretching into a smile? Or tears expanding into something beautiful? Is it your feet jumping with excitement, or your hands meeting in applause? When you are furious, what do you do with your anger? Do you breathe and let it settle? Or do you scream into the madness? Do you question what it is worth, or let it explode in every direction? I want to become fluent in the language of human emotions. Deep or shallow, it does not matter. Every feeling is precious. Let us celebrate what it means to be human, to love, to grieve, to hope, to feel. To live within the atmosphere of the heart, and let it grow as vast as it can.
