Upon the stage of dewy grass,  A pup performs—a sprightly class.  His tail swish-swishes, paws tap light,  A dancer spinning through the night.  The moonlight hums a silver tune,  His shadow sways beneath the moon.  He leaps, he twirls, he bows with glee,  A furry flicker, wild and free.  His collar jingles—ting, ting, ting,  Like tiny bells that laugh and sing.  His ears flop-flutter, side to side,  As if they, too, enjoy the ride.  With every bounce and every bound,  His joy becomes a twirling sound.  Like autumn leaves that twist and play,  He pirouettes, then darts away.  The stars above all blink in time,  To paws that patter, bright, sublime.  The trees lean in, the flowers cheer,  The night applauds—a grand premiere!  And when at last his dance must end,  He wags and bows, my happy friend.  A pup, a poet, light and fleet,  With dancing paws and tapping feet.
