Beneath the moon's soft, fragile glow, A heart aches, heavy, sinking slow. Loneliness whispers in the night, Where love once bloomed, now lost from sight. He said he cared, but where is he now? His promises, empty, I wonder how. The texts, the calls, they fade away, While I stay here, alone, in dismay. I gave him trust, but lies were sown, Now doubt’s the only truth I've known. I see the signs, I feel the sting— His love, a fleeting, broken thing. He chases shadows, I chase the pain, Caught in a storm, a lover’s rain. I’m no priority, just left behind, While he runs free, heart blind, unkind. Still, I sit in silence, torn apart, With shattered pieces of my heart. How do I rise, how do I see? When trust is gone, what's left of me?
