I used to think love was enough, that holding on could fix what was breaking. But love without truth is just empty hands, and I got tired of reaching. "I can't have one woman, gotta have three, One woman just to hold me down, One woman just to lift me up." Funny how lyrics hit different now, when I was the one who gave my all, while you gave pieces to whoever was around. I told you, time and time again— "I’m tired of playing house," tired of pretending, tired of building a home in a storm while you left doors open for the wind to come in. Maybe you didn’t think I’d leave, that I’d always stay and believe your lies. But a woman who knows her worth doesn’t settle for half when she’s given her whole. I won’t say I don’t think about you, but I’ll never wish to have you back. Because love should be safe, not a guessing game, and I’m finally done keeping score.
