She watches as the man she thought would be a keeper dissolves. He mutilates his body daily with sorrow and alcohol. To stay and hope one day he gets clean, Or move on in the world and be free? The hurt, the pain she feels inside only grows, Her heart blackened with hate. It's a disease they say, One of nothing but dissolving fate. Lost, confused - what the fuck to do? But only pray, oh the pain... And she cries..... **This is a poem I wrote in 2018. I was exploring my creativity and feelings at the time. I've struggled with whether to make changes or not.
