Blue skies turn grey clouds distorted, losing their fluffy nature The trees pigment grows weak, losing the green that once flourished the earth The waters that were once in tune with the sky Flow lonely as the waves crash against the shores with nothing but aggression These things that were once considered peace Have now become the source of the world's depression Our eyes see the world in a less vibrant tone as we used to People like empty shells dragging themselves to work, schools, parties. All to fill the void that was once their soul Everyone is wearing the same shade of grey, the same lies, the same thoughts, the same beliefs. All to avoid being who they truly are Easy to cry, easy to sigh, easy to look down in grief Why are you grieving? The day is sunny Look at the ocean, feel the breeze of what life is The world is around us, begging to be seen But the world is without color, so we look back at our screens.
