Tired of living on a merry-go-round, Spinning in circles, never touching down. The same old sights, the same old sound, A never-ending ride, spinning round and round. I yearn to break free from this endless spin, To find my footing on solid ground within. To leave the noise, the chaos, and the fray, And find my peace in a brand new day. But still I ride, in futile delight, A prisoner of routine's numbing light. Longing to leap from this carousel's hold, To find my path, my story, yet untold. Perhaps someday, I'll muster the might, To step off the ride and walk into the light. To leave the merry-go-round's dizzying sway, And find my balance on a brighter day. Until then, I'll hold on tight, And dream of freedom from this endless night. For a life of purpose, of depth and of scope, Beyond the merry-go-round's relentless rope. ~shadowed silhouettes
