I stood a mile above the ground, but forgot—what rises fast must come crashing down. The wind applauded like a crowd of ghosts, as I danced with dreams on borrowed posts. The sky was silk beneath my feet, I sang where air and starlight meet. But heights that dazzle, sharp and proud, carry silence that grows too loud. I built my wings from smoke and flame, chasing a throne without a name. I thought the sun would let me stay—but light, too close, can burn away. Now falling feels like memory’s touch, sweet in glimpses, but far too much. And every echo on the way down whispers, you wore that rise like a crown. I stood a mile above the ground, But forgot—what rises fast must come crashing down.
