Morning light in familiar linen dogwood dapples dance through open panes, through orange slices, on hallowed hands anointed by their scent, sticky, fragrant, clean Gentle breezes carry in the sun, curtains curtsying to greet her She brings us sunsoaked wild grasses and flowers from our garden, dove coos and cicada songs And summers pass between ticks of the clock in the hall.
