I stood as the boy watching you work the shovel. Years went by and still your words kept getting deeper. When you left I crawled in to keep going with the words you had left me to work with. Fear and self-loathing disguised as relief in the form of a pill or a little drop of gin helped to complete the job. Buried in the depths I have dug to the other side of darkness, into understanding.
