Words caught in this coddled web Secrets seep in whisper's womb The words I meant are the words I said Your eyes mark the beauty of the stars and moon My voice, it echoed in hollow's dark Alone I would write my pen's despair Shielded in strength, rooted like redwood's bark Of a love which would spark you were fully aware Though darkness comes as darkness fades And the tides rise but soon they do settle The chapters written on the parchment's page Resulting bloom of the rose red petals
