She lives her whole life Somewhere no one else will ever be Where the weight of this world isn’t And nothing stops her From what she wants She lives her whole life Trying to understand why the real world Holds different secrets Than the one she made Than the one she loves She lives her whole life Never truly seeing how it works When you live outwardly Rather than in your own soul Than in your head She lives her whole life Always by herself in a different way Than the rest would be alone Because those in her mind Offer a better company She lives her whole life And the rest of us can wonder Will she grow to regret never leaving her mind Or will it help her grow wings So she will learn to fly
