Give Peace A Chance Oh, Man! Let human beings be At peace, Know’st not thou That this world Neither is thine Nor mine. We abide here At His pleasure, When the call cometh, We leave this place, Which neither you Nor I own. Your  time is brief, Neither can you prolong Nor shorten your stay. Why then quarrel, Fight and shed blood Egged on by your ego And thoughts of Assumed supremacy. Nothing ever will remain To remind the world When thou art  gone. When dust to dust Mingles, And the headstone Melts with time, What is there To tell the world About the flesh And the skin That once strode With unwanted Pride. Man! Peace thou never Enjoyed, Nor did you allow Others to enjoy, With all that Notions of supremacy And the arrogated Power. It’s not late To mend Thy unscrupulous ways. Realize the truth That all beings born Are equal In the eyes of the Lord, So should it be in the eyes of  mortals too. Thou are not God on earth, But a transient being, With thy time On this earth  determined already. Make peace with Those around you, Make this earth A place worth living. If thou would’st let peace Fill thy heart and soul, And let everyone Live their lives In peace without fear, Thy name will live Long after thou art gone.
