Like a vessel, I was meant to hold weight. So I was labeled strong. Because only the strong can carry that weight, the weight I'm carrying... right? I have been told that I am the vessel that helps, aids, confirms, and assures. And like a vessel, I just keep being. Because the vessel doesn't get to decide to be something else. It just is... the vessel that helps, aids, confirms, and assures even when no one is looking. When no one cares or says thank you. The vessels is.... even without graditude or recognition. The vessel is faithful even when mistreated and is not partial in the pouring. Its ability to heal itself from the inside out isn't sourced from any who has ever drank from her pour. Healing comes from standing in the rain and drying in the sun. Living life and learning the purpose for each day. Rain is intended to wash, so why do we seek refuge? The sun is intended to warm, so why do we run for the shade? Broken insided, I'm labled strong. Not because of my history but the expectancy, The expectancy of me being a carbon copy of all other vessels. And that my vessel can hold and carry just like everyone else. Like it should be maintained and handled the same. But every vessel has its colors, and I'm awaiting a nation that will see my colors first. A nation that will not lable me accrording to an expectancy but who I am. A vessel who chooses to heal so that my pour isn't infected. A vessel whole because of the pieces molded together by the fires of life. And not like a vessel just meant to hold weight. Therfore, just labeled strong.
