In its confines My heart lies at rest For it is tired of fighting For something to last It hit the top, But fell back down Ravaged by destruction And havoc from outside Poked and prodded By those who pass Then a kind one comes, But they always leave Realizing it's damaged Far beyond repair They skip away Like my heart expected My heart has grown tired Of this assault So it hides from view In the darkest part Of its confines.
