Who is Truly Blind? Blind there are of two kinds- The one who with aid walks Or by one helped oft, Who truly cannot see, Deprived of sight From the moment born Or by causes unknown; The other is the one Who being blessed with sight Would see nothing around And is blind to all things beautiful That Nature for ever offers; Isn’t it a tragedy great That while the truly blind Yearns to see What he’s told he misses, The one with eyes sound Sees not what is around, Never being aware Of what he truly misses.
