Dear loved one gazes softly at the sky, Once the moon shone bright and made her spirit fly. Her face glows like flowers, drawing every bee, And in the rain, her steps bring fortune to see. Her hair, a veil, as if the gods had spun, I lost myself, amazed, drawn to her sun. But sudden turns made my world sharply bend, Alone I stand, my heart left to defend. She’s gone far away, my dreams torn apart, Each voice I raise falls hollow in my heart. The moon still shines, yet shadows veil my way, My heart sees no one, alone it makes its vow. The heart never forgets the maiden it knew, Though stars may fall, love’s light shines faint but true. The sky remains bright; yet all joy slips away, And I cradle my grief in a quiet bay.
