Ecclesiastes 3:1 "To everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." This embodies waiting, desire. Life has its cycles. Love needs to breathe too. Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." In silence, I pour out my heart, Praying for your return, Praying for your patience in my longing, May the bond between us be stronger than ever. Poem: How I miss you, dear! Like a squirrel misses its acorn, Searching the ground, Feeling the cold emptiness, Hearing the rustling of leaves, Dancing wildly in the trees, Finding that familiar figure, Your warmth, your laughter... I count the days beneath the grey sky, Dreaming of sunny afternoons. The golden glow of your smile Ignites the branches of my heart, Like the sparkling autumn shines in the hazy sunlight, Heralding the return of nostalgic joys. Hurry back soon, my love. Then I can stop acting nutty, Stop this wild-eyed craving, Running nuttily through my days, Like a mad woman. Tormented by your absence, The hollow echo of your name, Your whispers in the wind, I can't forget The sweet taste of acorns, Even if I'm buried underground. Each day stretches, My longing deepens, Each hour is like a whisper from your soul, I cling to the branches of hope, Hoping that soon, Like the changing seasons, You'll return, I'll be whole again. Dear God, I lift my heart to You, Awaiting the return of my love, Find peace in this solitude, Develop patience, And in a quiet longing, Keep my heart always open. You know everything. In Jesus' name, Amen. Categories: Love, Longing, Nature, Spirituality Thank you for reading my poem. @chattybee 24/8/2025
