To the bright moon of the coming day, The sky that guides and clears the way, Stars that light the inner soul of mine, Transformed a boy from shy to shine. But now, flashes of odds crowd my empty mind, Memories of ours—both sorrowful and kind, They will remain with me till we see, Each other beneath heaven’s tree. Her beauty may stay—but will she too, Remain in this world as I still do? My destiny lies within my hand, I long to find her, even through burial sand. May the Lord help us remain the same, You and I, gazing at nature’s frame, Showers of rain and light embracing us, Hand in hand, in lush beauty’s hush.
