It grows without permission this love, pushing through rib and bone like roots cracking stone. Some days, it feels holy, a quiet bloom in the dark. Other days, it aches, too large for the space my heart can give it. But still, it rises, again and again, an endless reaching toward someone I can’t stop yearning for. A beautiful hurt, and mine to carry.
